Real estate offices and companies with sales-people or buyers have staff who spend a considerable part of their time out of the office. They still need to be easily contacted to receive incoming calls or work-related requests.

Brief
A real estate office wanted a means of easily contacting staff who were often out of the office. This request was easily solved by simply setting up an external call-forward key on appropriate keysets.

Procedure
Set a feature key as F26. Now use F2 plus soft keys to set up an external call forward – the light on your newly programmed F26 key glows!

Don’t forget that ECF must be set to "Y" in extension programming category 3.

If the extension appears in the C.O. Ringing Position list, the ECF function will not work

The sales people must be told how to use 0# (and 0*) to clear or extend the call.

Operation
When a sales person leaves (or returns to) the office they simply press the F26 key to either initiate or cancel external call forward.

The receptionist just transfers incoming calls to the appropriate staff member as normal. The staff member receives the call at their desk or on their mobile depending on the condition of the F26 key.
