Auto transfer. This feature is invoked with code (function 54). Once
turned-on, a user can perform a blind-transfer of an exchange call to either another
extension or a UCD by simply pressing a DSS key. Their own extension is immediately
returned to idle status. If the destination is a voicemail UCD, the caller is prompted to
enter the destination mailbox number before the transfer is completed.
| Benefits |
Significantly streamlines the transfer process for Blind
(un-announced) call-transfers to other extensions. Useful for high-traffic installations
because it immediately lets the transferring extension (usually the receptionist) handle
another call without spending time going through the "normal" call-transfer
process. |
