Camp-on

This feature differs from a callback call in that the originator remains off-hook and the recipient receives a call-waiting tone when the camp-on is placed. The originator receives a periodic 2-beep warning tone while the camp-on is active. When the called party goes on-hook, their telephone rings. Only one call can be camped-on to an extension at any given time.

Benefits Camp-on is a useful feature for urgent calls. The recipient receives a tone when the Camp-on is setup to alert them that a camp-on has been placed and acting as a "warning" to terminate their current call as soon as possible so they can accept the "urgent" camp-on call.

If two parties are competing for the same destination extension, Camp-on over-rides Callback Busy if if the Callback Busy was activated first.
