Feature Codes

System features are accessed by feature codes (function key plus one or more dial-pad keys). These codes can be stored under a feature key for one-touch access. Alternatively, users can press the function and dial the code digit(s).

Feature code Code Description
Abbreviated dialling F1 Access to programme individual abbreviated numbers.
Account code F71 Input Account Code info. on an outgoing exchange call.
Agent help F61 Sends a message to the UCD group supervisor.
Agent log off F91 Removes the extension from all UCD groups.
Agent log on F*91 Logs the extension onto all UCD groups.
Alarm reports F62 The LED lights if there is a system alarm.
Alert F50 Whilst on a handset call, establishes a second handsfree call.
All call forward delete F20 Deletes all call-forward instructions.
Attendant access F#0 Allows access for attendant programming functions.
Auto answer F6* If set "off ", user must press a feature key to answer a call.
Authority code F55 The extensions COS is transferred for 60 seconds.
Auto hold F94 If on a call and a DSS key is pressed, the first call is auto held.
Auto hold deny F*94 Denies the use of auto hold to the extension.
Auto line select F95 Choice of I/C dialtone, exge line or route when off-hook.
Auto line delete F*95 A resource key must be pressed to get dialtone.
Auto message notification F72 Sends a message to another extn when a call is handled.
Auto busy redial F78 Automatically keeps redialling a busy external number.
Auto transfer F54 Enables a blind transfer to occur when pressing a DSS key.
Background music 800 Enables or disables background music.
Busy forward F21 Calls are forwarded if busy or DND.
Call forward F2 Prefix used to access call-forward features.
Call pickup - direct F53 Pickup held or ringing calls for another extension.
Call pickup - group 460 Pickup held or ringing calls in the same pickup group.
Callback delete F*#5 Deletes a single call-back call.
Callback all delete F*#5* Deletes all callback calls.
C.O. flash F3 Generates a momentary 100ms open on an exge line.
Conference F60 Sets up a 3 or 4 party conference.
Data key F66 Used with data keysets. Not used in Australia.
Data rate select F75 Sets the baud rate of data keysets. Not used in Australia.
Database programming F#0 Allows access for attendant programming functions.
Default set F69 Returns user-defined station settings to default values.
Delete msg wait to F*#9 Used by the system to clear M/W settings.
Direct dial F52 Access the directory dialling feature.
Direct forward F22 Forwards all calls without regard to the extension's status.
Distinctive ring F#7 Selects the ring cadence for the extension.
Do not disturb F4 Puts the extension into DND mode.
DSS key programming F#4 Allows DSS-unit keys to be programmed
Dual function key access F#1 Allows the upper-level of a dual-level key to be programmed.
External forward F26 Allows calls to be externally forwarded.
Extn feature check F#8 Enabled feature can be checked on display keysets.
Feature key programming F#3 Allows programming of feature keys from keystations.
Follow from F23 Used remotely to divert calls from your normal extension.
Follow to F25 Used at the normal extension to divert calls to another extn,
Force clear trunk F#9 Accesses the force-clear-trunk menu.
Forced release F74 Non-display users can force-release a conference participant.
Get held trunk F7* Retrieves calls placed on system hold.
Headset delete F*9# Disables headset mode.
Headset function F9# Enables headset mode.
Hot key F93 If enabled, users can dial without lifting handset first.
Hot key delete F*93 If disabled, handset must be lifted before dialling can occur.
Hotline F9* If enabled, a resource is automatically called on off-hook.
Hotline delete F*9* Disables the hotline feature.
ICM key F65 Puts intercom dialtone on the nominated feature-key.
Last No. redial F8 Redials the last number dialled.
LCR key F67 Allows LCR to be voluntarily used on a call.
Lock phone F97 Used to block all outgoing exchange calls (including 000).
Lookup F#5 Displays resource numbers and lists feature codes.
MPD check F7#4 In hotel mode, allows an extension's meter to be checked.
Message waiting F96 Accesses the outgoing message function.
Mute F76 Disables both handset-transmitter and handsfree-microphone.
Night switch key F63 System attendant can place system in night-switch condition.
No ring transfer (call park) F73 A call can be parked at any valid extension number.
No answer forward F24 Calls are forwarded of not answered before the no-ans. time.
Page accept F*99 Allows the extension to receive pages.
Page answer F59 Answers a page and connects to the originator.
Page deny F99 Disables paging to that extension.
Paging 400 Initiates a page.
Pause F70 Used in a decadic-dialling string.
Premises message F90 Allows a premises message to be set.
Premises message delete F*90 Deletes a previously-set premises message.
Private talk F57 Used in a conference to privately talk with a single participant.
Reminder service F92 Keyset will ring at the specified time.
Reminder service delete F*92 Deletes a previously-set reminder call.
Saved No. redial F51 Last number dialled can be stored for later re-dialling.
Supervisor monitor F58 Allows a UCD supervisor to monitor UCD calls.
UCD over-ride F6# Allows UCD traffic to be redirected to UCD group 12.
Unsupervised conference F77 Leaves outside parties connected together,
User saved number F5* Allows a number to be entered in a scratch-pad for redialling.
Voice call allow F98 Enables the voice-call function.
Voice call deny F*98 Disables the voice-call function.
Voicemail M/W key F64 Accesses the system voicemail features.
Voicemail message delete F*64 Deletes a still lit voicemail LED.
Wait dialtone F79 Used in a decadic-dialling string.

Feature key layout.

Choose from the following suggested features for your "standard" feature key layout:

If Call Parking is to be an often-used feature, add some virtual number "park" keys to the layout.

If conferencing is to be an often-used feature, add Conference, Unsupervised Conference and Private Talk feature keys.

If it is the system attendant's keyset, consider adding Night Switch, Alarm and Get Held Trunk keys.

If your are an Agent of a UCD add Agent Log-on keys.

If you are a UCD supervisor add Supervisor Monitor and UCD Over-ride keys

Add a Headset key if a headset is to be used on a 20-key display keyset.

Add frequently-called Abbreviated Numbers on the upper level of applicable feature keys.
