Lock / Unlock

This feature can be used to lock or unlock a keyset. If a keyset is locked, exchange calls cannot be made. A locked extension continues to receive incoming exchange calls and can make and receive intercom calls. The same code (Function 97) is also used to allow users to change their password.

Benefits Prevents unauthorised use of a keyset in a "common" area (foyer, reception, lunchroom etc) from being used to place an outgoing exchange call unless a valid password is entered. Using this feature saves the company the cost of unauthorised calls by other than authorised staff-members.

Use of the Lock feature prevents ANY exchange line calls from being made (including 000). Use this feature with caution.
