Music On Hold A 3.5mm mono phono jack (the top jack on the right-hand
side of extension board) is provided for connection of an external MOH/BGM source to the
system. In the absence of an external source, in-built Chimes are provided as the MOH/BGM
program. In the 824-series and Juni systems, the level of the external music source is
potentiometer-adjustable. The source impedance is expected to be 20K ohms and a level of
0dbm is required.
RMP programming allows the music-source (or chimes) to be
used for Music On Hold only, Background music only, both MOH and BGM or NULL if neither a
music source or Chimes is required.
| Benefits |
Provision of an external music source gives callers who are
placed on hold a more pleasant holding experience than if the standard Chimes are used.
Company informational messages may be played to callers who are placed on hold to
reinforce company advertising, policy, specials etc. The provision of background music to employees via the speaker in their
keysets helps to provide a pleasant work environment. |
