| Paging A page can be initiated from any extension in the system.
Eight paging groups are provided by the system. An extension can appear in more than one
paging group. Resource number 400 is a non-programmable all-station page. Paging group 1
is resource number 401, paging group 2 is resource number 402 etc.
A page can be initiated to:
- All extension telephones
- External page port only
- Both internal and external ports
- A defined paging group.
The Extension PCB has a 3.5mm mono output jack to connect an
external paging amplifier to the system. The system output is 0db at 600W .
The system LB/EPP
ringing field can be programmed to cause incoming calls on defined trunk routes to
send a signal to the external PA amplifier.
Page Answer
This feature allows an extension user to answer an ongoing page and connect to the person
who initiated the page. When the page is answered, the page is cancelled and the two
parties are connected on an intercom call.
Page Deny
Feature code Function #9 is used to allow or disallow paging to a particular extension.
Also refer to external
paging.
| Benefits |
Allows any user to initiate a page to all keysets or to a
defined group of keysets. The use of Paging Groups prevents staff in areas not concerned
with the page from being annoyed with superfluous pages. External paging via an external paging amplifier can be a useful tool useful
in noisy or geographically-large work environments. The option of EPP ringing provides a
positive indication of incoming exchange calls.
Page Answer allows a page to be placed to locate a particular
person, that person converting the page to a one-on-one conversation.
Page Deny can be used to temporarily or permanently remove a
keyset from receiving any pages. |
