Call Pickup

Three different types of call pickup are available. Feature keys can be programmed for Group pickup and for Loud Bell pickup if these features are used on a regular basis.

Call-pickup - directed (Function 53)
Users can use this feature to answer a call that is ringing at an extension other than their own. The ringing extension must be in the same extension group. This feature can also be used to pickup parked calls.

Call pickup - group (460-489)
A call ringing at one or more extensions that are in the same call pickup group as the user can be answered by using this feature.

Call pickup - loud-bell (810-811)
An incoming exchange call ringing at a loud-bell can be answered by dialling the loud bell resource number.

Benefits Directed call pickup can be used for parked-call retrieval and to retrieve a call to a temporarily unattended "important" extension to prevent the call from going unanswered.

Group pickup allows a ringing call in a group of extensions to be answered without having to know exactly which extension is ringing. Use of this feature can prevent potentially important calls from being unanswered.

Loud Bell Call Pickup is useful in an 'after-hours" situation. Incoming calls can be made to ring at the loud bell number and Loud Bell pickup used to answer the call from any keyset.

Using Call Pickup can prevent incoming exchange calls to the business from being "lost" because they weren't answered.
