Keyset Mounting

Keysets are delivered ready for desk-mounting but can be easily converted to wall-mounting by simply removing and reversing the plinth on the bottom of the keyset body. The handset "retaining-clip" on the keyset also needs to be turned 180 degrees to hold the handset in the wall-mounted situation.

You need to be aware of two possible problems: Some users hang-up the handset in such a way that the RJ plug on the end of the handset-cord catches on the keyset body and causes the handset cord to disconnect from the handset. Use a pair of pliers to cut the RJ plug "release-clip" to prevent this from happening.

The switch-hook assembly was incorrectly machined on a batch of keysets. There is no problem on a desk-mounted keyset, but there may be some problems in the switchhook not "hanging-up" if the keyset is wall-mounted. A modification kit is available from Hytel product support that can be used to fix this problem.
