Hytel Caller ID Option

Hytel's optional CID-8 Caller ID interface module receives calling number identification information delivered by the telephone
carrier and sends the information in ASCII to the Hytel KSU via the Hytel's RS-232 port. Alternatively, this output can be cabled
to a PC serial port and interpreted by standard terminal-emulation programmes such as Procomm or by custom-designed software.

The Caller ID information will appear on Keysets that are programmed for incoming ring and the Caller ID information will "travel"
with the call to other Keysets if the call is transferred to another extension.

Each CID-8 module can support 8 telephone lines. Up to 12 CID-8's can be "daisy-chained" together to support a maximum of 96
telephone lines.

The CID-8 is powered by a supplied AC Adaptor.

CID-8 is compatible with the Hytel HYD-412/616, HYD-96 and HYD-120 Digital Key Telephone Systems. They can be used in a
stand-alone mode with the ASCII output being sent to a computer, or other device. A detailed installation handbook is provided
with each CID-8.

*Requires subscription to your Telephone Carrier's CND facility (currently approximately $5.00 per line per month).
*Check with your Telephone Carrier for availability of CND on the local exchange.
*CND service now available on Optus HFC local lines.
